Not sure if you want to go to a concert with a bunch of teens?  Well, here's the line-up:  Mercy Me, David Crowder*Band, Family Force 5, Francesca Battistelli, Fee, Remedy Drive, and Sidewalk Prophets    Now, I know what you're thinking, "Are you kidding me?!  Some of the greatest Christian artists in one place for $13?!  How do I sign up?"  So here it is...click the "contact" button or call Chris at (719) 821-5856.  But, first, there are some other things you'll need to know:

We will be leaving in two groups.  One will leave during the 11:00 hour--with a sack lunch--to save our place in line at The World Arena.  The second group will leave at 2:30 from Pueblo Sam's Club.  The concert starts at 6:00, but limited tickets are sold at the door so we will need to wait in line.  We need as many people as possible to go up in the first group (we don't want to make those behind us mad).  The cost of this event is $13 which includes the concert and pizza. 

Yes, we will be in the parking lot for a long time, but we will have fun!  And this is a concert that will be well worth the wait.  Okay.  That's all.  You can sign up now.

Small groups are vital to creating a welcoming atmosphere at CYM.  Small group leaders are expected to sit in on the lesson then discuss the topic with their group.  Ideally leaders will work in pairs and with the same group every week.  Discussion questions, the lesson topic and application ideas are sent to leaders each week.  There is minimal preparation and no teaching involved.  We just ask that leaders set a godly example (not just on Wednesdays), facilitate the group by encouraging discussion, pray for and contact their group of students during the week. 

This is an easy way to volunteer and get to know the youth of Calvary.  Each week 1-2 students sell food from the gym kitchen.  We need an adult who will open the shop, help students keep track of inventory and money, and lock up at the end.  This requires honesty and a full hour and a half in the kitchen. 

Acquire the Fire is a conference for teens held at the Denver Collisium on Friday, April 30 and Saturday, May 1.  We need adults to drive students to the Collisium, to and from the hotel, and home late Saturday night.  Drivers are expected to share a room with the teens and participate with us during the weekend.  We appreciate the donation of your time, gas and vehicle so we will provide a discount on the cost of your trip.  This is an event that we're confident will be life-changing for teens and adults alike.  If you have more questions, please call Chris at (719) 821-5856 or email us at youth@calvarypueblo.com

Please let Chris know of your interest and which day of the week you are available, then fill out an application at the MOW office.  They are located across the street from City Hall at 230 N. Union Ave. on the 3^rd floor.  Ask for Karen or Cindy Reyes and tell them that you will be driving for Calvary Church.

You will be contacted by late May with a driving route and the names of students who will be helping you.  This will be an amazing time not only to serve those in our comminity, but to build relationships with the students of CYM.

We are spending the day at Elitch's and need transportation to and from as well as adults to hang out with the students during the day.  Even if you can only fit 2-3 kids in your car we'd love to have you join us!  The only rule is that we all arrive and leave at the same time. 

Driver's cost will be $19 plus food.

This is a family event so drivers may bring their younger children for the student price of $22 plus food.
