What will I hear?
Our music tends to be modern with a nod to the ancient and traditional. We do some hymns, often with a modern musical interpretation and many recent worship songs in what is often called the contemporary genre. Songs by Charlie Hall, Chris Tomlin, Hillsong, and David Crowder Band are some of our most common. We have various worship teams that comprise the band at Calvary. Sometimes, there is percussion, acoustic guitar, piano and a violin. Often, there is electric guitar, drums, bass, keyboards and multiple singers. It is a priority of our worship ministry to create the best possible environment for the worshipper to engage the living God in relationship and intimacy in a community of other believers on the same journey.
What should I wear?
There is no dress code at Calvary Church. Most people dress casually. You will find a few people in shorts in the summer and a few people in suits, but most members of Calvary are somewhere in between. Please feel freedom to dress however you choose.
What will I do?
We encourage as part of our philosophy of worship at Calvary Church a component called experiential worship. Based on Mark 12:30, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength,” we believe that to fully engage God in relationship and worship, you must do so with all of these. In addition to music and teaching, we provide opportunities for creative responses that help you experience God more fully.
What are the sermons like?
Our desire is to help people hear, understand, and apply the Word of God to their lives. Our sermons come straight from the Bible, and we typically preach through entire books of the Bible, one week at a time. Our aim is for the sermons you hear at Calvary to be honest and helpful. We use film clips, illustrations and stories to help make the message of the Bible clear. To hear or see some messages, click on the listen button below.
What about other forms of worship?
We believe that music is a very powerful tool for worship, but there are other ways in which we should worship. Serving can be an incredible way to worship. If you are looking for an opportunity to serve, see our opportunities page. The visual arts can also assist us in our worship. We regularly use some form of visual art in our services to express our love for God or to better understand an idea that words don't convey. Sometimes, the very truths of God and the realization of His love for us moves us to dance. This too can be a wonderful form of worship.

We fully support a worship dance school called His School of Dance that operates out of our church under the direction of Mrs. Megan Gordon. HSD regularly leads us in movement and offers their gifts of dance in our services. For concert information or for classes, check out their website.
