Calvary Church Women’s Ministries
Growing Fruitful Followers of Christ

For some, “ministry” is a somewhat intimidating word, and yet ministry is just another word for service, something we are all familiar with.

Women’s ministry then is all about service; about women offering love, support and encouragement to each other. It is about developing our strengths and gifts, and maturing as Christians into the “fullness of Christ” and growing in our love for God and his word. And it is about developing relationships, deepening our love for each other, so that we are better equipped to help each other and to extend that love and service to all we come in contact with. It is about being Christ to each other.

Women’s Bible Study - Beginning September 13 and 14 2009!

Walking by Faith: Lessons Learned in the Dark by Jennifer Rothschild
Classes will meet Sundays from 11:00-12:00 (led by Carol Foust) or Monday nights from 6:30 to 8:00 (led by Paula Kochenberger) in the Fellowship Hall at Calvary Church. The book is $12. Order yours at www.lifeway.com

This is a 7 week study that contrasts the evidences of walking by faith and walking by sight and encourages participants to take risk, give God control, persevere through hardship, receive God’s gifts, be guided by the Truth rather than feelings, and seek God.

Beginning in January 2010

Believing God: Experiencing a Fresh Explosion of Faith by Beth Moore
This is a 10 week study that explores what it means to believe God. Through studying the lives of Abraham, Moses, and others from Hebrews as examples of persons who believed God, Beth encourages women to deepen their own trust in God and receive a fresh work from Him.

Women of Faith

September 25 and 26 in Denver Colorado

At a Women of Faith weekend experience the people you’ll see and hear onstage are like you. They’ve been through good times and bad – and they’ve learned a thing or two along the way. It’s a time to be renewed. A time to be refreshed. An experience like nothing else. Join the 2009 Women of Faith Team: Lisa Harper, Allison Allen, Sheila Walsh, Mandisa, Patsy Clairmont, Luci Swindoll, Nicole C. Mullen, Marilyn Meberg, and Lisa Whelchel for a message of hope and humor.

Women to Women Mentoring

The need for mentoring in the lives of women is stronger today than ever before. Our society has become so mobile that most people no longer live near family. This has a great effect on the need for a local support system. The demands placed on women are greater than ever before. The mentoring ministry can help meet the needs of the women in the church.
